The 12 palaces are areas of interpretation
The palaces are used to organize themes such as self, relationships, work, resources and other areas of life. A palace is not a literal physical place; it is a reading category within the chart.
Interpretation depends on what is placed in a palace, relationships among palaces and the timing layer being considered.
Stars are symbolic roles
Zi Wei uses named stars as symbolic factors. A star's meaning changes with placement and combination, so reading a single star description in isolation can be misleading.
A useful result therefore explains how several pieces connect rather than presenting a dictionary of star names.
Four Transformations and timing
The Four Transformations are commonly discussed as Hua Lu, Hua Quan, Hua Ke and Hua Ji. They are used to highlight different kinds of emphasis or tension in a chart. Decade and annual layers add another perspective on timing.
Timing language shows where symbolic emphasis shifts across periods, helping you compare one phase with the next.
How DestinyU presents Zi Wei
DestinyU aims to turn the technical chart into a readable story while keeping calculation details available separately. The main reading focuses on foundations, the current period and a forward-looking sequence instead of overwhelming the first screen with every palace at once.
The implementation is still under reference validation, and its full independent chart-validation corpus is not yet complete. DestinyU therefore keeps the Beta label while that validation work continues.
How to connect the layers
Start with the Life Palace and major stars, then compare the active 10-year cycle, annual layer and Four Transformations. The story becomes clearer when the same theme appears across more than one layer.
Use the five-year view to notice changes in emphasis and transitions, then open the palace details when you want to understand where each theme comes from.
